Try calling 211 for any temporary cash assistance in your state and see about finding a roomate or I don't like saying it look into a shelter for your family as at least you will have a roof over your head and your children's heads.

 in response to mefjr79...   The Best thing I can tell you is to try temp work; go to staffing companies.  They may have temp- to perm work.This helped me get back on my feet.Also go to unions to see if they are hiring also. Stay in a shelter because it cold and go to soup kitchens at churches.And don't lose contact with your child.   I pray that things will get better for you.! God bless

Hello, i am homeless right now, i lost my child to the state and my wife left back to chicago. i am in desperate need for help, i have spent the last three weeks outside and tonight just happens to be very cold. i am trying to keep myself busy thru the cold. i want to get my family back. i am looking for work and help with a place. i am very handy with my hands i do mechanic and construction.

Jerrie, I would check with the local shelters and see if they have any room, or maybe check in the ad's for people looking for a room mate. We are in need of a deposit and first months rent. Husband and I lost are jobs about 6 ms ago and he went to school and just started a job. He still isnt getting paid and we are still homless we all ready have lost every thing we own. We are about to be kicked out of his mothers house on the 31st my sons second birthday. my brother in law and his girlfriend just had a baby a little over a month ago. he is very ill and they need help getting a place to live. they were staying with me until they found an empty shed to move into that doest have heat or running water. is there any place in Baltimore, Maryland to get them help so the baby doesnt get sick and we dont have to woory about them freezing.

I need money to get a uhaul to get back home to my reservation. I have a 13 year old son with seizures. I am 53 with disability. I get SSI but not enough to get home. try looking for roomates in the many free classifieds sites

You need to find a shelter for you and your daughter , get some work somehow even if doing a house cleaning job a business you can start on your own.

Hi Amina, I just moved from another state. I need assistance with my deposit so me and my son can move. I've called Capitol Township, and a few other places, they only help if your coming out of a shelter or if being evicted. I do have section 8 and just need help with my deposit. I asked my caseworker and she says she know noone. Do you no anywhere in Springfield,Ill that will help me with my deposit? I already have my place it will be ready for me to move in real soon. I dont want to loose it, so if you have some info please let me know.

Check your local governament resources. Generally, find a one time quick fix to get by for the month isn't too tough. Thereal problem is carrying that over to the next month..and so on. I've found a few good resources here, http://www.helpwithrent.org ,to help with rent. Good luck!

lou i have had freind that have went to the housing athourity and have goten emergency housing wich will pay for you rentand first month or so of rent. you can also try at your local churches wich can some times help pepole get money for rent. i hope this helps because i have bentheir my self.

Does anyone on here get any feedback or help?!!!  I am in an emergency myself.  I'm a full time nursing student and I have two teenage children.  One with disabilities and the only money we get is approx. $400 a month for his disability check.  I get no child support for either of them and can't afford a lawyer.  I have found a house to rent and I do have the deposit but I need help with rent.  The waiting list for section 8 is 2-3 years long.  I don't have that long!  Who does?!  I am in an abusive relationship and he has beat me twice already.  I don't want to stick around for a third time.  I need help.  The lady with the rental house said she would help me do whatever it takes on her part to get me in the house.  Does anyone know if I found the house and she were willing to participate in the section 8 voucher program if they would let me complete the process and not have to be put on a waiting list?  Please somebody help me!

I'm on a fixed income and I have a section 8 voucher. my voucher runs out next month. I have some money but I can not pay any deposit over $100. If anyone out there know where I can get help, please let me know.

I need assistance with a deposit for the house I recently got into. I gave my landlord my car title to hold untill I came up with the deposit but due to issues with a company Uhaul overdrafting my bank account and a 303.00 electricity deposit I was unable to fullfill my obligation to them and now I am in danger of being evicted if I do no fullfill my debt by 11/5/08. I have three children and I am expecting another my husband was reciently killed in an accident and I am alone and trying to support my family. I have reciently become employed in this new town with a 40hr a week job but I cannot get anymore wiggle room with the landlord. I have given him 150.00 already and all I need is another 700.00 to fix my problem. I have four children one is a newborn baby girl. In Febuary of this year my landlord evicted me because I told her the utilities in my apartment was messed up. I only had power in my kitchen and bathroom. Since then (even during my pregnancy) we have stayed where ever anyone would let us. I had to let my two oldest daughters go live with theis father and is driving us all crazy. I have never been away from my children. I don't know what to do. I have apploed for housing, but I got kicked out 8 years ago because of my neighbor making complaints when my boyfriend would come to see us. He is the father of my 2 youngest. He works so hard to try and take care of us and his family lets us stay with them. We desperatly need our own home though. We found an apartment that we could move into but we do not have the money for all of the deposits. Where do I get help from? Every where I have been says they have no funds.

hello im a mother of 3 children that are need help my husband does landscaping depending on the weather if he works are not, hes been trying to find another job but not successful, im 33 yeras old and very worried about losing are place we have most of the rent and only short $200. ive never gone to this measure before in getting help i dont even know how this works please if anyone can help are rent is due on 12/5/07 otherwise theres a big late fee. please if anyone can help its not much just need a place for my kids to sleep for the hoildays.

I am disabled with inoperable cancer that will be taking it's dear sweat time to kill me. In the interim, my family is suffering greatly due to my lack of ability to be gainfully employed. I am needing assistance in paying my first month rent. I have $1000.00 for deposit and rent. Now I just learn that my deposit doubled because of my credit score. so.... I have the depoist and a new place to live, but my family and I can't start moving in until I come up w/ the rent amount. Now I only have 2 days left and then we are on the streets.

I wish that there were places online that would help those in need who don't have a bank account!

i was having the same problem. I needed help with rent bad. I went to this site www.help-with-rent.com and they hooked me up with $1500 in my bank account the very next day. it was tight. Could work for you.

I'm a 31yr old female, Mother of 3 boys and 1 girl. We currently got on Section 8 and are struggling to move to Newjersey. As many mother's will do for their children, trying to better there family. I've been on the program 3 times and haven't had the privelage to use the voucher due to not finding a home for my family. Although I must say I finally found one but the deposit is 1 Month rent and 1 1/2 security. The monthly rent is currenlty 1,550. The section 8 helps me with rent but not with my moving cost. We are living in the state of Pennsylvania at the moment but the house in jersey will be ready in September. I'm really hoping that if there is anyone out there that can help us please let me know before september if possible. By the way I have proof concerning my statement. Thank you for your support...
